Born in Bloomington in 1878, my grandfather fished extensively in nearby streams and lakes. I emailed the city clerk asking for recommendations for visiting fishing spots when I arrive in late May. I didn’t dream that anyone would answer. A lovely woman did answer and provided me with the information I asked for. In addition, she gave me her telephone number and invited me to call her when I arrived. She also offered to arrange a fishing guide for me if I wanted.
I don’t leave for another week; however, I have my first lovely trip story.
